⚠️Six Course Meal with Jenny Lee Lindberg of Warpaint. We talk about her favourite records (Pt 2)

⚠️Six Course Meal with Jenny Lee Lindberg of Warpaint. She talks to us about some of her favourite records!

Jenny Lee Lindberg is well known as the bass player in Warpaint. Formed in 2004, they have released three studio albums and an EP. In 2015 she released her debut solo record 'Right On!' under the name Jennylee on Rough Trade Records. In 2020 for Record Store Day she released a double A-Side 7" covering Fugazi and Daniel Johnston. Last week she released new self written material for the first time in 6 years with the excellent new single 'Newtopia'.

We asked her what's next on the horizon?

"I have my singles club coming, which consists of 6 songs on 3 7” releases throughout the year. Then my LP comes out in April... also a Warpaint album out in May!! and tours etc. It's gonna be a great couple of years!!!"

We speak to Jenny below about favourite records and she chooses tracks for our October playlist!

Part 2:

4️⃣ An album you love that is not sung in your mother tongue, native language or an advanced learned language.

🎯"Serge Gainsbourg - 'Histoire De Melody Nelson'. To be honest, I often have a hard time depicting lyrics in my native tongue, I gravitate towards the melody and rhythm mostly."

5️⃣ An album from the last year that we absolutely need to hear!

🎯"Goldensuns have an EP up on Spotify, released over the past year and a half, its fantastic! they’re fantastic!"

Selected track - Denandra Moore

6️⃣ An album you have had involvement in and think still stands up today!

🎯"I would like to think all of the albums I have worked on still stand up, but, not all of them have to me, so Warpaint - 'Warpaint'."

Selected track - Teese
